Iranian Art Exhibition Opens at Minsk

On February 1, the exhibition of Iran – A Precious Land opened at the University of Culture art gallery in Minsk, Belarus. The Iranian ambassador to Belarus Saeed Yari expressed Iran's willingness to expand the cultural exchange with Belarus in the opening ceremony.

The exhibition was organized during the 42nd anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. It showcases Iranian folk crafts, handmade items, calligraphy, exquisite rugs, items such as termeh (handwoven cloth), minakari (a unique Iranian technique of painting and coloring the surfaces of metals and ceramic tiles through enameling) and khatam (an inlaying technique).

The exhibition was organized by the University of Culture art gallery and culture office of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belarus, and will last until February 18. During the exhibition, various events will be organized, including master lectures for calligraphy, painting and a movie night to showcase Iranian culture.
